Glenveagh National Park is a beautiful wilderness of rugged mountains, lakes, waterfalls and native oak woodland in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in Donegal. At the centre of the park is a 19th Century castle mansion on the edge of Lough Veagh. There are a number of walking trails throughout the woodland to experience.

Donegal Castle is in the very heart of the county town, over the River Eske. Red Hugh O’ Donnell built it as his personal fortress in the 15th Century. The building fell into ruins in the 20th Century but was brought back to a beautiful condition in the 1990s. It is a self-guided tour where you can walk around and look at all the beauty the castle has to offer.
