After conducting some internet-based research on things to do in Cavan we compiled a list of the results we found. This list is not ranked in order of popularity.
1. Cavan County Museum

Cavan County Museum has a range of exhibitions from the GAA History to a WWI Trench Experience. There are lots to be learned here and a lot of important Irish events unfolded.
2. Cavan Burren Park

Location: Burren, Blacklion, Co. Cavan

Cavan Burren Park is a site that goes back almost 340 million years when this whole area was covered in a tropical sea. There is a centre and five walking trails around Cavan Burren park and it highlights the prehistoric tombs, geology and stories about the unique environment.
3. Dún na Rí Forest Park
Location: R179, Mullantra, Kingscourt, Co. Cavan

Dún na Rí Forest Park forms part of the former Cabra Estate which was earned by the Pratt Family. There are 4 walks that are over 2km in length all with interesting points along the way. The park has a wide variety of plant life and is rich in wildlife because of this.
