Cobh is a port found in Cork County, Ireland. It was known as Queenstown until 1920. It is a tourist port located on the southern of the Great Island in the Coast of Cork County. It is the home to the only dedicated cruise terminal in Ireland. The port has many Irish names starting with Cove which was its initial name before it was renamed Queenstown and later Cobh.
Leap Castle has the distinguished honor of being known as Ireland’s most haunted Castle. With its long and turbulent history and eerie discoveries found hidden beneath the castle, it is a title that is very fitting.
Situated in County Waterford, Ardmore is one of Ireland’s most amazing locations. It is a scenic seaside resort and fishing village with magnificent coastal views, rolling cliffs surrounded by ocean that is home to an abundance of native Irish wildlife, many species are protected.
For me seeing this quintessential Irish farmhouse, is a silent reminder of what our emigrants achieved in the United States, coming from what would have been humble beginnings to become one of the most famous and powerful families in world history.
This is a town that is an essential place to visit in Ireland, especially if you are embarking on an adventure into the world of Medieval Ireland and The Normans. One of the shining jewels of Medieval Ireland this is where The Normans first made their mark on the landscape of Ireland, that was to hold firm for approximately 800 years.
