1. Explore Glenveagh National Park

Glenveagh National Park is a beautiful wilderness of rugged mountains, lakes, waterfalls and native oak woodland in the heart of the Derryveagh Mountains in Donegal. At the centre of the park is a 19th Century castle mansion on the edge of Lough Veagh. There are a number of walking trails throughout the woodland to experience.
2. Take in The Beauty of Donegal Castle

Donegal Castle is in the very heart of the county town, over the River Eske. Red Hugh O’ Donnell built it as his personal fortress in the 15th Century. The building fell into ruins in the 20th Century but was brought back to a beautiful condition in the 1990s. It is a self-guided tour where you can walk around and look at all the beauty the castle has to offer.
3. Learn About Life at Fanad Head Lighthouse

4. Visit Fort Dunree

Fort Dunree was an important defensive site down through history. Its natural beauty and wildlife draw visitors to one of the most beautiful locations. There is a video film presentation in the audio-visual theatre and access to museum displays that show life at Fort Dunree, showing how important a location it was on the coast for defence. 5. Take In The Views at Slieve League

Slieve League is stunning cliffs among the highest sea cliffs in Europe, at 3 times the height of the Cliffs of Moher. There are incredible views from their peaks. The Slieve League Cliff Centre is also run and features local history and culture, also local made knitwear and artworks are on sale. From Cliffs Centre, you can drive up to the main viewing area or you can park up and walk on foot to the viewpoint for a more enjoyable experience.

Doagh Famine Village tells the story of Irish Life from the Great Famine of the 1840s until the present day. 7. Look at the Assaranca Waterfall
