After conducting some internet-based research on things to do in Sligo we compiled a list of the results we found. This list is not ranked in order of popularity.
1. Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery

Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery is a large group of megalithic monuments in Sligo. They were built in the 4th Millennium BC, during the Neolithic era. There are 30 surviving tombs, placing Carrowmore among the largest complexes of megalithic tombs in Ireland.
2. Sligo Abbey

Sligo Abbey was founded in 1252 and contains a great wealth of carvings including Gothic and Renaissance tomb sculptures It was built by Maurice Fitzgerald in 1252 for the Dominicans. They have access to their site through the visitor centre.
3. The Model, Home of The Niland Collection

The Model, Home of The Niland Collection is a contemporary art centre and gallery space in Sligo. The gallery houses several exhibitions focusing on contemporary art and education activities. There is a cinema on site for showing and a venue for concerts.
