After conducting some internet-based research on things to do in Meath we compiled a list of the results we found. This list is not ranked in order of popularity.
1.Visit The Historic Newgrange

Newgrange is a 5,200-year-old passage tomb located in Boyne Valley in County Meath. Newgrange was built by Stone Age farmers around 3200 BC. There is no known use for the site but it is believed it had a religious significance. Its entrance is aligned with the rising sun on the winter solstice when the sun shines through a roofbox above the passage.
2. Have a Wild Day of Fun at Tayto Park

Tayto Park is an amusement park in Meath based on the Irish potato crisp brand, Tayto. The park was opened in 2010 and developed on 22 hectares in Meath. It consists of a Native American Village, Ireland’s only wooden roller coaster, a Maxi Dance Party 360, an adventure playground and an exotic zoo.
3. Explore Trim Castle

Trim Castle is a castle on the River Boyne in Trim, Meath. It is an Anglo-Norman Castle built in 1172 with a rich history in the location. Visitors can get a sense of security that you would avail of by the de Lacy family in hostile surroundings.
4. Watch a Concert in The Unique Slane Castle

Slane Castle is located in the village of Slane in the Boyne Valley in Meath. It was built in the late 18th Century and holds the Slane Festival within its ground now, with a lot of famous acts playing here over the years such as Queen, The Rolling Stones, Metallica and more in this unique location.
5. Brú na Bóinne

Brú na Bóinne is located on the River Boyne, it contains one of the world’s most important prehistoric landscapes dating from the neolithic period. The site has been a World Heritage Site designated by UNESCO since 2013.
6. Learn About Irish War History at The Irish Military War Museum

Irish Military War Museum covers 5,000 sq feet on its site in Meath. Inside you can find detailed examples of trenches used in World War One as well as the highly motorised conflict of World War Two. They also have tank driving lessons at the museum.
