On our resent visit to take in the sites and sounds of County Carlow we stopped for lunch at the wonderful Lennons@visual.

The wonderful award-winning restaurant is situated on the ground floor of the Visual Arts Centre for contemporary art and The George Bernard Shaw Theatre, which is located in the beautiful grounds of Saint Patrick’s College in Carlow Town, County Carlow and the George Bernard Shaw theatre.

The Visual Arts Centre is a wondrous architectural feature, which is constructed of amazing white concrete and mystical white glass. It is very easy to identify, as it is located prudently on the old Dublin road in Carlow Town.

The Restaurant is in a contemporary style like the building it is housed in but it is warm and inviting. You feel instantly relaxed as you enter this beautiful space. Everything is designed for comfort and the perfect dining experience.

The Menu was fantastic and catered for everyone’s tastes, with a wide range of choices including a wide range of gluten free and vegetarian options. The staff was wonderful. They were very helpful and made you feel extremely welcome.

You were informed of menu options and the service was wonderful with a bright smile.

It was a very busy location and was full of local people, which is a great indication of how popular and wonderful this beautiful and inviting location is.

On a Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening there is an early bird menu that caters for those attending the George Bernard Shaw Theatre. The dinner menu was also wonderful. There is a full bar with a wide range of local and international beverage.

On a sunny day the outside terrace would be a wonderful location, to have lunch in beautiful and vibrant surroundings. It was lovely to see that the food is made with love and they use local suppliers with fresh ingredients.

We are delighted to say that My Real Ireland would definitely recommend this wonderful location for anyone visiting Carlow. Lennons@visual was wonderful and our meal was out of this world.

We must also add that we found the pricing extremely reasonable. For more information on Lennons@visual please go visit their website at www.lennon.ie
