Inch Abbey is located in the northern bank of the well-known Quoile River.
The structure has been in existence for many decades but still has a firm base. This is an indication that the early engineers who made the structure were keen on their job.
Although the building is currently half-covered, it remains to be iconic in its own space. It was first was founded by Jon de Courcy. This is an excellent place to visit for those who want to know about the early-church buildings.
2. Pollnagollum Cave, Marble Arch Caves – Co. Fermanagh
Pollnagollum Cave was used as Beric Dondarrion’s hideout in the third season of Game of Thrones. The cave is beautiful and is fashioned with a waterfall that gives it a natural outlook. In Beric’s hideout scene the movie directors were able to combine various aspects to make the cave stand out.
The cave is located in Belmore forest to the right of Fermanagh cave. It is an impressive stop for cave lovers due to its ideal location. Additionally, you’ll get a glimpse of the Irish hare which is slightly larger than rabbits. Besides, the cave is also fashioned with bats and birds which are very attractive to watch when they move from one location to the other.
3. Cushendun Caves – Co. Antrim
The Cushendun Caves were used in the second season of Game of Thrones when Melisandre gave birth to the shadow creature. The caves believed to have been formed many million years ago due to harsh weather conditions.
The caves are found right at the mouth of River Dun and can be accessed by foot when you are at Glendun or Glencorp valleys.

4. Castle Ward
Castle Ward was used in Games of Thrones as the home of one of the main casts in the series, House Stark. It has been in existence since the 16th century and has been used by different generations of the Ward Family.
The castle stands out and sits on an 820-acre plot of land that is fashioned with beautiful gardens and woodland. The fact that it has been in existence for that long makes it a masterpiece of its kind.
5. Downhill Beach
The Downhill Beach was used in the scene of Game of Thrones where Stannis Baratheon allows Melisandre to make their sacrifice to the Lord of Light while rejecting the offer of the Seven Gods of Westeros.
It is found in the north of Northern Ireland is gifted with white sandy shores that are ideal for scenic walks.
The Downhill Beach has clear waters that make it favorable for water sports such as surfing and other breathtaking activities. It is a favorite destination for surfers.
6. Binevenagh Plateau – Co. Londonderry
The plateau was featured in the fifth season of Game of Thrones when Drogon rescued Daenerys Targaryen. She was escaping the bondage of Sons of the Harpy.
Drogon is a dragon that has been friends with Daenerys Targaryen for a long time and always come through for her when there is the need. Binevenagh Plateau stretches to over 6 miles and has steep cliffs.

7. Dark Hedges – Stranocum, Co. Antrim
This site was used in the second season of Game of Thrones as the Kingsroad that Arya Start travelled on with all the recruits of the Night’s Watch. It is one of the most photographed locations in Ireland due to its spectacular features.
The Dark Hedges road goes through an avenue of beech trees that have been in existence since the 18th century. History has it that the trees were planted by the Stuart family so that they can impress those who to visit Gracehill House.
8. Portstewart Strand – Co. Derry
This site was featured in Game of Thrones season five when Cersei challenged her brother, Jaime Lannister to bring back her daughter back to the King’s Landing.

9. Ballintoy Harbour – Co. Antrim
The area is used in the second season of Game of Thrones when Theon Grejoy returns to Lordsport Harbour after being gone for a long time. Ballintoy Harbour is found on the steep road down of Knocksaughey hill.
It stretches all the way to Larrrybane and ends at Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge. It gives a beautiful view of the waters surrounding Ballintoy village.
10. Tollymore Forest, Co. Down
The Forest was featured in the first season of Game of Thrones as the area surrounding Winterfell. In this scene, Ned Stark came across many orphaned direwolves that symbolized the exact number of Stark’s children.
Tollymore Forest covers about 1600 acres and was the first forest park to be established in Northern Ireland in 1955. The forest has clear water rivers that run through it. Its spectacular features will excite anyone who visits there.
